Apple blossom in the Val Venosta
Nature lovers beware ...
When Venosta the spring just beginning, then as colorful as anywhere in South Tyrol. Particularly striking is the contrast between the snow-white mountain peaks and the spring bloom in the valley.
During the winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the sunny slopes in April, still enthusiastic cyclists and hikers already the colorful splendor of spring.
The apple blossom in the Venosta Valley runs from mid to late April, but they can be delayed or accelerated by weather and temperature fluctuations. The apple-growing area here extends 500-1100 m above sea level.
A particular impressive image in the early morning hours provides the Eisblüte, because in order to ensure the protection of the flowers from the cold, they are frostberegnet evening. If you stand up early and goes to the apple orchards, one experiences the Eisblüte at its best.

After 5-month winter break starts on Sunday, 01 April 2012 finally the fishing season on Prader fishing pond.
(No joke!)
The Prader fish pond is a beautiful recreation area, adjacent to the Prader sand. With a large lawn and a children's playground
He offers the ideal recreational space for everyone.
He can be reached by the artisan area of Prato on a short driveway on the bike path along the Venosta Adige.
From the station Spondinig it takes about 15 minutes walking on foot to the fishing lodge.
Rewarding paths lead from the fishing pond by the Prader nature trail through the sand or "forest garden" to the center
by Prad on the Stelvio. The fishing lodge is located on the lake and offers a magnificent sun terrace overlooking the lake.
Interested parties can borrow in the local and the equipment for fishing (day ticket), or simply enjoy a nice stay in the cozy fishing lodge on the terrace or the spacious lawns.

On 18/02/2012 at 20:00 clock carnival takes place the ball in the Schuhplattler Prad Raiffeisensaal Aquaprad.
You can expect great music, raffle and awards mask. For food and drink is provided!
The "Maschger"

On Carnival Sunday, 02.19.2012, it's that time again. Clock at 21:30 to visit us, as every year, "Maschger" and entertained us with their own pre-led dances with accordion accompaniment.
This group is masked from the century that has become our tradition to eight pairs:
- "Hear" and Mrs.
- Baur and his wife
- Steyr and Styrerin
- Tuxner and Tuxnerin
- Ziller and Zillertalerin
- Moor and Moor
- Tschigeiner and Tschigeinerin
- and Zoch and Pfott.
This custom is performed every year on Shrove Sunday and Shrove Tuesday in the various guest houses. For fun and entertainment on both days will be provided.
